Meat Loaf (engl.: „Fleischklops“, „Falscher Hase“ oder „Hackbraten“; * 27. September 1947 in Dallas, Texas; geboren als Marvin Lee Aday, jetzt Michael Lee Aday) ist ein US-amerikanischer Rocksänger, Schauspieler und Opernsänger. Leben und Werk Marvin Lee Aday wurde am 27. September 1947 als Sohn eines Polizisten und einer Lehrerin geboren und hatte schon früh Kontakt zur Musik. So sang seine Mutter im örtlichen Gospel-Quartett namens „Vodiodo“. Er selbst hörte die Werke von Bob Dylan, den Rolling Stones, des Kingston Trios und Mahalia Jackson.
